The Mission of the Friends of the Ipswich Elderly (FOIE) is to provide financial assistance for Ipswich Council on Aging (COA) programs, events and services. A majority of our funding comes from donations from generous people like you. The Friends also receive grant funding from supporting organizations and businesses.
The Friends seek to enrich the lives of Ipswich older adults by addressing needs in the community that fall outside the COA's allocated funding. Our achievements in the past have focused on providing funds for supplies, capital equipment, education, fuel costs, pet care, transportation, entertainment and other services for the senior citizens of Ipswich.
Current financial assistance services for eligible older adults funded through the Friends and managed by the COA are Project Warm Home, Healthy Pet Care and Emergency Fund - which provides funding to help eligible seniors with heating their homes, wellness care of dogs and cats, and unforeseen emergency expenses. Donations can be targeted specifically for any of these individual assistance programs.

Our dedicated Board of Directors meets quarterly with the Council on Aging Director to discuss programs and services.
Thank you for caring and supporting the Friends of the Ipswich Elderly in the manner that works best for your circumstances. If you have any questions about the FOIE, please email us at foieipswich@gmail.com or contact the Director of the Ipswich Council on Aging at 978-356-6650 who can put you in touch with one of our Board members.
